ISO 12647-7 specifies criteria and tolerances for the certification of Contract Proofing Systems as well as for Contract Proof Creation in the field.
The FograCert Contract Proofing System reflects the criteria and tolerances stipulated in the current Standard.

Based on ISO 12647-7:2007, we check your Contract Proofing System with respect to:

• Proofing substrate colour and gloss
• Permanence and light fastness
• Colour accuracy [Gamut]
• Fading [drift]
• Uniformity
• Long and short term repeatability
• Rub resistance of proof print
• Tone value reproduction limits
• Image register and resolving power
• Margin information
• Colorimetric tone value transfer
• PDF/X conformance

If it concerns Halftone proofs, the following comes along:

• Screen frequency, screen angle, halftone dot shape

(In case halftone proofs are subject to certification, a separate print based on ISO 12647-2 will be provided by Fogra. It includes an ISO 12642-2 test chart [IT8.7/4] and will be shipped with the 1 bit Tif data accompanied by the pertinent linearization information. The measurements of the print will serve as the reference for this combination.)

Duration of the test:

• 2 weeks preparation
• 2 days at the vendors premise
• written report after 3 weeks
